Pushing the gate already slows things down.
The noise of everyday life gradually fades away, replaced by something softer, calmer. Myriam welcomes you with a simple, almost discreet smile. Very quickly, you feel at ease, as if invited to share a moment of her world.

In the workshop, the wool threads catch the eyeHand-dyed, they offer a palette of natural, warm, and sometimes surprising shades. Outside, animals are never far away. Here, nothing seems to be in a hurry. Everything follows a calm rhythm, that of the seasons, of repeated gestures, of the time it takes to do things right.

Atelier laine chez Myriam Noirot

A career change guided by living things

The course of Myriam Noirot Her path wasn't predetermined. For several years, she worked as a nurse. A profession focused on others, already rooted in a kind of attentiveness to life. Then came the need to connect with her surroundings in a different way. To take the time, to observe, to do things differently.

His projects are built gradually, without rushing. Trials, adjustments, well-considered choices… an intuitive but demanding approach, where every step counts.

Gradually, wool became the obvious choice.

Wool as a common thread

Wool becomes part of her daily life. First, the wool of the mouton, then that of the alpacawhich she particularly appreciates for its delicacy and softness.

But here, nothing is standardized. Myriam raises a few animals, taking care to respect their rhythm, their needs, their personality. Each animal has its place, its story. Production is never the end goal. It adapts to the living beings, not the other way around.

From matter to gesture

From fleece to garment, Myriam masters all the steps. Sorting of fibers, spinning, vegetable dyeing… Each phase requires precision and patience. Some techniques, such as spinning, remain rare and require genuine expertise.

The colors, however, are not entirely decided in advance. The plants, the season, the water… everything influences the result. This element of uncertainty is an integral part of the work.

In the workshop, the movements are sure, almost meditative. Knitting becomes a fully-fledged creative toolThe designs do not follow trends, but a more sustainable logic: comfort, accuracy, relationship to the material.

To transmit, naturally

Sharing is an integral part of his daily life. Welcoming visitors, exchanging ideas, showing things… Here, the transmission is simple. We learn as much by observing as by listening.

Throughout the year, Myriam offers courses and workshops around wool and vegetable dyes. A way to showcase his techniques, but also his respectful approach to living things.

A consistent lifestyle

Over the years, Myriam Noirot has built much more than just a business: a way of life.
Wool, the garden, colors, animals… everything fits together coherently. A way of inhabiting the land attentively, taking the time and remaining true to what is essential.

We leave with a particular impression.
The one about having met someone, of course…
But also a way of doing, and maybe even another way of seeing.
