Located at a place called Le Moulin des Rochelles in La Chapelle-Hermier in Vendée, where the Jaunay river gives rise to the water reservoir, there is a small wooden footbridge hidden.
Surrounded by lush vegetation and lulled by bird songs, you can observe the local fauna. Several educational panels will help you identify the feathered inhabitants of this green oasis. Gray herons, cormorants, great crested grebes and kingfishers will no longer have any secrets for you!
Check the calendar of the Pays des Achards Tourist Office because nature outings called "Jaunay'Scapades" are organized on Wednesdays in the summer. Some of these outings start on this footbridge.
You will also take this observatory footbridge if you follow the yellow Geocaching route and the tour of Lake Jaunay.
