Dear parents, if you are like me, that is to say you are not part of the "ultra-organized" category, you are familiar with this phenomenon: every year, on the 1er December, time seems to be speeding up! The perfect Advent calendar horrifies you!

You have to think about… let's say EVERYTHING. Run the pancake stand at Christmas market, print the photos for Grandma, watch the little schoolboy rehearsing his dance for the show, sort out last year's Bolduc and think about the menu.

Then a few days before the big date, you realize that you forgot to buy the Christmas tree… 😱

But who had the unfortunate idea of bringing Christmas forward to December 25 this year?!

Let's be honest: we would like to spend more time with our darlings, we would like to please them. Instagram and Company are full of great ideas that we would like to realize, but we can't. And we end up feeling guilty...

In the genre " how to add stress, we decide to give up the simple Advent calendar with lousy chocolates and to set up the awesome countdown with activities for perfect parents that is currently circulating on social networks.

The intention is good, but the reality is quite different: No. 5 stipulates that it's the evening to make little Christmas shortbread... Except that you forgot to buy the butter, it's already 19 p.m. and the neighbor only has Breton butter with large salt crystals for help you out!

In the same way, your financial director may be an understanding person, explaining to him that box 22 of your calendar puts “Frozen” ahead of the 2023 review meeting can be tricky.

This Advent calendar, a real headache!

An Advent Calendar without constraint?!

The idea was therefore born to offer you a flexible Advent calendar. With my colleagues, we suggest you 20 activities some of which only take a few minutes, while others must be planned a little further in advance. BUT – and this is the novelty – no date has been given! You have 4 empty boxes to write down YOUR ideas, if other things come to mind or are close to your heart.

It's up to you to see when you want or can do an activity. When you have realized an idea, you stick one of the colored dots with the corresponding date. Moreover, our numbers do not stop at 24, but at 30. This leaves you with 6 wildcard dates, so as not to put pressure on yourself. Not bad is not it ?!

And then, let it be said between us, if you want to make the candle holders in January or make shortbread for Candlemas, who would blame you?? Since the main thing is to take the time and create memories!
