BEAULIEU UNDER THE ROCK

Parking and departure
Leaving the village, follow the RD 42 (direction Martinet), cross the village of La Guérinière (1,9 km). The car park is on the left at the Bellevue crossroads. At the car park, cross the RD42 and follow the path to the left. Climb the stairs to reach the quarry viewpoint. Cross the RD42 again towards Milcendière, following a portion of the Entre Mares et Haies path. Go along the Milcendière. After 300 m on the road, take the path on the right in the bend.

Turn right. A few cork oaks adjoin the path. Cross the RD42 (caution). Continue straight for 2 km.

Turn right before the RD 55. You are in a private forest (mountain biking). Take the footbridge which spans the Jaunay then the forest paths. Back on the road, turn left and pass La Chauvinière.

Step 4
Follow the RD 50 for 100 m to the right (caution) and turn left at the first crossroads. After 900 m, again on the left, take a sunken path. At the sandy path, turn left and follow the path to the river (private property). Between the two footbridges, follow the Boëre stream. After the 2nd footbridge, turn right then left.

Continue straight to the road and take the path opposite.

Turn left for 50 m then right to cross the village of La Boucherie. Take the sunken lane on the right as you leave the village. Cross the RD50, turn right and take the path that runs along it. At the next crossroads, turn left.

Turn right then left and descend towards the river (Le Jaunay). Cross over the footbridge.

Step 8
Turn left at the 1st crossroads and go up towards the start. At the road, turn left then straight on for 400 m on the path parallel to the road to return to the car park.
