The history of town “The Pickles” is recent since it dates from January 1, 2017 with the merger of La Mothe-Achard and La Chapelle-Achard.
Located between Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables d’Olonne in Vendée, the new commune “The Pickles” is the most important in the territory. It is here that the greatest number of shops, restaurants, businesses and associations.

Every year, the town organizes a multitude of events with the help of local associations.
There are, for example, the Fête de la Musique, the Nature & Saveurs Day, the Air d'en Rire festival, shows at the Cultural Space, several festivals (rap, rock, artistic, etc.) and even the ball peasant.
On the sporting side, local associations organize the Corrida and the Chrono des Achards in the Mothe district.
