While walking at a place called "La Barre" in Les Achards, walk along the farm buildings, go down a small path, pass in front of a dozen goats and there... your eyes widen, you think you are dreaming... But what is a marquee doing? circus in the hollow of this valley? We are proud to present to you The Circus School, a circus school in the Pays des Achards !
The journey of Jaja and Binz
Jaja and Binz met in 2012. Jaja has an impressive track record in the greatest circuses, Binz comes from the world of street circus. Two different paths, but common dreams.
In 2014, they created The Circus School and gave their first lessons in a room at the Château d'Olonne. The activities are multiplying, the members are more and more numerous. Then took shape the idea of owning a marquee to give lessons...
It was in 2018 that Esprit Cirk set up its sedentary (and heated!) marquee in Les Achards. In the immediate vicinity of the Perched Barn Farm, La Perchee brewery and La Bergerie campsite, this circus school is a real place of life located surrounded by nature !
The school now has 140 students aged 3 to 55. By mixing their two worlds, Jaja and Binz now offer lessons and courses in trapeze, juggling, balance and acrobatics. They work in schools, leisure centers and in the medical environment to help people discover their world rich in values and thrills. And always with a smile!
Jaja and Binz installed in 2022 their large flying trapeze outdoors. It's the only one for hundreds of miles around!
Good to know
In partnership with the Bergerie Campsite located 200m from the big top, the circus school also hosts camps during school holidays!
