The picturesque art village of Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche is famous for its Christmas market. He is one of oldest in Vendée and the largest in the department! This year, for the 33rde edition, the market took place from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December 2025.
The 100 exhibitors, including 40 new ones, met specific selection criteria, such as creativity, originality, and proximity. From Friday evening onwards, high-quality musical entertainment and some forty exhibitors focused on gastronomy set a festive mood.

For an immersion in the heart of the magic of Christmas, we will take you for an afternoon to discover the Magic of the Santons, the animated windows and the Playmobil® exhibition.
Animated windows
Beyond this unmissable event, The magic of the holidays is palpable throughout the month of December until mid-January in the town. Because every year as Christmas approaches, the population of Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche is doubled.
Funny plush inhabitants wake up in the animated windows old shops around the Place du Marché. The volunteers of the “Art Culture et Traditions” association are overflowing with ideas to invent mechanisms that are simple and ingenious at the same time. Often working with salvaged objects, they are passionate children at heart who bring “Reindeer School”, “Toy Clinic” and many other scenes to life. From year to year, new products are added to these animated windows which attract visitors beyond the borders of Vendée.
The Playmobil® exhibition
You will also like Playmobil exhibition® in the Atelier de la Déesse in Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche. The famous little figurines come to populate towns, villages and landscapes over more than 300m². They make you discover an imaginary world rich in details. It's up to you to find the famous Charlie who hides in the different scenes such as the big modern city, the crossing of the Red Sea, space, the castle of the princesses, the island of the pirates, the Vikings or even the tanned people are skiing!
The fairy tale of the Santons
In a more traditional genre, the museum of The fairy tale of the Santons completes the magic of Christmas in Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche. 700 authentic santons populate 8 miniature villages in the heart of which crèches are set up for the end-of-year celebrations.
