The first church was built at the end of the 12th century. It then had the shape of three roughly equal arms: the current choir, the north arm of the transept surmounted by the bell tower and the arm of the nave going up to the second stained glass window of the current nave. These arms were joined by the transept. You can admire the Romanesque style.
The wooden parts, that is to say the gallery inside and the spire above the tower, were burned down in 1568 by the Huguenots, but its two bells dating from 1517 suffered no damage.
The church was restored at the end of the 17th century.
Then its tribune and the spire above the tower were burned down again in 1794, before being restored in 1825.
In 1863, the nave was lengthened by three crossings and the entire vault of the nave was taken over.
Also, the wall located on the south side of the transept was demolished to build a chapel and thus give the church the shape of a cross as you see it today.
