On December 8, 1885, the first stone of the current church was laid. It is built in the neo-Gothic style which at the time became almost de rigueur. This new church is imposing due to its height but also due to its size, 600 m2 of surface. The entire population is mobilized and participates either through donations, or more ostentatiously through direct contributions to the building.

Thus the bell tower-porch houses the statue of St Julien where you can see the coats of arms of the De Lauzon family who lived at the time at the Château de la Forêt.

Inside we notice the two surviving tombstones of the old church of Jacques Foucher, squire, lord of Brandeau and his wife who were married in 1550.

The chapel of St Roch was erected thanks to the generosity of the Morisson de La Bassetière family, whose coats of arms can also be seen as well as a stained glass window showing the children of the family.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary as well as the stained glass windows on the south side are a donation from the La Roche St André family, whose coats of arms can be seen in the chapel.

The main stained glass window showing St Julien is a gift from the Thouzeau family, owners of the Brandeau estate. On the north side, a very beautiful stained glass window commemorating the war of 14-18 offered by Mrs. Prudent Tesson in memory of her son who died in combat. The stained glass window above the porch representing Our Lady of Lourdes was installed in 1959 after a general subscription.
