Like many other sanctuaries in Vendée, the Saint-Pierre church was partially destroyed during the Revolution, then rebuilt in the second half of the 2th century in a neo-Romanesque style.

Saint-Pierre Church
Firstly, a tertiary Romanesque style building composed of a single nave, a gable extending beyond the roof and pierced with openings in its upper part. Destroyed by the Protestants in 1568. During its restoration, two chapels were added, one on each side. The Church was burned down during the Revolution.
The current Romano-Byzantine building was built in 1875-76, 30 meters long, 18 meters wide at the transept and 9 meters high inside. The church had been built for 33 francs at the time, of which 238 were donated by the widow of Mr. Jacques Bouron. Interior decoration: several statues; a Stations of the Cross with quadrilobed panels, stained glass windows. The chapel of Notre-Dame de Lourdes and the chapel of Saint-Joseph complete the ensemble. The bells date from 23 and 000. In the past, the old church was surrounded by a cemetery. After the creation of the new cemetery, the remains of the first remained on one side of the square until the first third of the 1854th century.
