Spring is here and with it the desire to step outside. Thanks to 26 labeled hiking trails, 3 cycle paths et 8 Geocaching routes, our Pays des Achards is the ideal place for outdoor activities. You can also test the course Disc golf les Achards or simply take a snack break on one of the many playgrounds.
You can try tree climbing with the family at the nature leisure park The Grand Défi or opt for a donkey ride at Donkey hugs. THE Garangeoire equestrian center offers a program for all levels, from baby pony to courses for experienced riders.
Our Tourist Office gives appointments to curious little ones in the middle of nature. During the Spring Getaways, children can test egg dyeing with natural pigments, make Easter decorations with recycled materials, make a wicker basket or learn how to fish in a pond.
Le Pays des Achards library network offers many workshops for children. Animated coloring pages from La Fontaine's Fables, folding books, digital games and classic board games, story time and creative painting on pebbles... there's something for all ages and all tastes.
Anthony Naulleau is the author and illustrator of the youth album “Pacetogrela”. He exhibits throughout the month of April at the Tourist Office. Come and admire the original drawings from his colorful book. Also discover his photos of everyday objects that look like monsters or characters. An original exhibition to visit with the family!

Children who prefer water to juggling can take swimming courses from the age of 6 at Aquatic center of the Pays des Achards.
Sports and cultural outings
Many tourist sites in the surrounding area reopen their doors in the spring. I'Vendee Aquarium, Sables Zoo et Wild Planet are ready to welcome little visitors. As for cultural visits, we recommend the Apremont Castle with its Renaissance towers, the medieval fortress of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire as well as the discovery of the Vendée of yesteryear thanks to the playful models of Miniature Vendee.
