Parking and departure
Parking accessible via rue du Vieux Moulin. The starting panel is next to that of P'tit Val Gaillard, a 3,2 km educational trail on the theme of the hedge. Descend to the stream and follow the path into the green valley. At the foot of the Gaillard castle, take the stairs on the left to reach the courtyard of the Gaillard castle (the former presbytery). Exit the courtyard through the large gate and turn right to go down the stairs. Go up rue de la Ciboule, on the right.

Turn left at the top of the street then immediately right to go up the small path. At the crossroads, go left in a sunken lane then turn left at the road. At La Gendronnière, turn right and cross the village. Take the path down to Mainzerie.

At the road, turn right then, 150 m, the path on the left. In the village of Gaudin, turn left at the road then quickly right. Cross the ford via the footbridge to reach Puy Gaudin. In the village, cross the road then turn left between the houses, then right. Continue along the agricultural path opposite.

At La Sapinière, take the path to the left, pass in front of the houses. Continue straight at the Moulin du Puy Gaudin.

Follow the road to the left towards La Rabelière. Take the path to the right before the houses. Cross the RD 80 (be careful) and take the "Chemin des Gaulois".

After 800 m at the crossroads, keep in the same direction and continue to Grande Bénatrie.

In the village, turn left on the road, then immediately right. Follow this path which, after 800 m, turns right towards Aulière. Go down to the left as far as La Ciboule, cross the river via the bridge. Go up the fairly steep agricultural track.

At La Buchollière, turn left at the road then right and follow the path. At the road, take the path opposite and turn left after 400 m on the sunken path.

At the Minerie farm, take the path to the left between the buildings and go down towards the stream. Take the footbridge then turn right towards the street. Cross and reach the start by the stairs then the footbridge opposite.
