BÉATRICE BÉTILLE - “RAKU” CREATIONS
Béa's imagination
“After a few years of hesitation, I started making my own creations inspired by my travels, my readings, my dreams and my vision of the world.
The cooking technique known as "RAKU" is completely JAPANESE (RAKUYAKI), a pottery cooking technique used in the 16th century during the Tea Ceremony.
At the time, master potters glazed and fired their bowl before using it to drink tea. This ancestral cooking requires seven operations to arrive at the final object.
Not inclined to expose, after much encouragement and climbing the steps of shyness, I express myself and realize myself now in the full expression of my dreams.... no, of my imagination!
CHRISTOPHE LASNE - PAINTINGS
“To paint is to escape from something or somewhere.
The idea for a canvas subject comes to me from a dream or a fleeting image during a walk where the Vendée often appears.
The pleasure of handling the pigments leading to the harmony of my paintings is equal to that of the visitor who lets himself be absorbed.
My work is meant to be passionate, captivating, hypnotic.
That the observer gets lost in the world told, painted, by my colors motivates me more than anything.
Great discovery and have a good trip."
