Near the church is the wash house. Drawing its water from a tributary of the Jaunay river, it has been altered several times in order to facilitate the arduous work of the “washers”. From the 1960s, with the arrival of running water and washing machines, the washhouse lost its importance as a place of work and meeting.
During the summer of 2003, a youth project allowed the old wash house to be restored. You can easily go to this bocage site to find the tranquility, the echoes of yesteryear and the ancestor of our current washing machines.
