Geocaching is an outdoor hobby, to share with family or friends, which consists of using GPS coordinates to search for or hide a treasure (or cache). The pleasure of hiking, games and discovery are there. gathered in this modern-day treasure hunt.
The little extra for the family: Guided by a fun and educational booklet available free of charge from the Pays des Achards Tourist Office, discover the shores of Lac du Jaunay with its 63 caches and the historical past of Les Achards (15 caches). You can also explore the green setting of the village of Girouard (9 caches), the Beaulieu nest box trail under the Rock (23 caches) and the Wolves trail in Sainte Flaive des Loups (33 caches).

Letterboxes are caches in which you can leave a postcard, and therefore a note for future geocachers! A punch inside, allows you to mark your geocacher's notebook in memory of your visit! Collect them and come and collect your surprise at the Tourist Office.
If you do not have a hiking GPS or an application on your smartphone (note: internet connection unavailable around Lac du Jaunay), we offer GPS rental at €5 per day. (Application on your Smartphone with c:geo on Android, or geocaching on AppStore).
GPS rental is possible ONLY at the Tourist Office, at 56, rue Georges Clémenceau in Les Achards.
